i see her
sitting on the steps
in the shade
in the cold
shivering
crying
i ask her
what’s the matter little girl
and she points at the sky
look she says
sometimes there’s clouds
so big
they take away all the sun
i sit down beside her
and i sigh
yeah what can you do
but she gets up
smiles
and says
oh but it’s easy really
i just put on
my polkadot party dress
and step into the light
